BuzzFeed’s Upside Down Banana Bread
I finally tried one of the recipes BuzzFeed posted on Facebook! As I’m sure many of you have seen, BuzzFeed Tasty shares fantastic creations, from healthy substitutes to delectable desserts. Yes, this one is a delectable dessert. After the way this banana bread turned out, I’ll definitely be turning to this video for sweet ideas.
Ingredients
4-5 bananas
3 eggs
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
2 cups flour
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
First, heat your oven to 350°. In one bowl, mash the bananas with a fork then add the eggs, oil, sugar, and cinnamon. I didn’t have any vegetable oil, so I used a little bit less and mixed canola and olive oil. Once everything is mixed, add in the two cups of flour and stir. At this point, you just have to taste it, you know, to make sure it’s working right.
When the batter is ready, start with the brown sugar topping. In a saucepan, melt 1/2 cup of butter then add the brown sugar. Let this simmer until it’s thick and then pour into your baking dish. Grab another banana to slice and add those pieces to the baking dish in rows. Now, pour in the batter and cook for about 40 minutes.

As you can see mine cracked a little, and I think I needed to add more brown sugar for the topping. Despite this, the brown sugar glaze melted over the entire thing and made it superrrr moist! If you need a quick, crazy easy, and delicious dessert then give this a try. It looks impressive, especially if it doesn’t crack down the middle like mine did.
Hopefully I’ll be trying out a few more of these awesome desserts – they are so easy!
